If over the next couple months you wish to buy me a coffee or a pint for my efforts on the Munros please donate that couple quid to Glencoe Mountain Rescue instead. I am supporting them as I want to give back to those who are there to help us when we get stuck in this beautiful landscape. I know a couple memberes personally and I know the money would go much further in their hands than it would in mine! Thank you so much.

WHO AM I??

My name is Arran Evison, I’m 24 and a recent graduate from UHI Fort William with a 2:1 degree in Adventure Education.

I’ve always been passionate about the outdoors and more specifically mountain biking. However this passion and focus has shifted to different sections throughout the years. I’ve drifted through XC and DH riding and finally settled on what I like to call Big Mountain.

During my time at university I completed my Mountain Leader and Mountain Bike Leader Level 2, but it wasn’t until my final project that I really focused on discovering the connection between a rider and the place they ride in. I did this through a film called Connecting With a Sense of Place Through Mountain Bike Videography. This project really highlighted my passion for the places I bike through and the need to protect them.

During this time I had also been biking a few Munros and linking this with the internal need to have my name remembered I came up with this exact project. For more detail about the project and the reasons behind it please visit the About the Mission page.
